Down Comforters and Retaining Loft
If down gets wet, the loft will come back. It's not a good idea to get your comforter wet all the time. If, however, it does get wet, the loft will come back if you dry it out thoroughly.
A lot of people prefer to put a duvet cover on their comforter because it is easy to wash and doesn’t affect the down.
