Extra Warmth Comforters

The warmest comforters have high loft and high ounces of down.  The highest down fill power is 850.  The 850 means that one ounce of down will occupy 850 cubic inches of volume.   

Because of the high cost, it’s probably not a good idea to hold out for 850 fill.  It is probably a better idea to get something between 650-750 fill powers. 

The other thing to do is to sleep on a featherbed topper under you.  Once you are nestled between two down items you will be much warmer.

If you are still cold, sleep with a down hat on.  You lose most of your heat through your head.
