Feather Pillows

A feather pillow is often built with various kinds of feathers.  The outer layer (the side that is against your head) is made of down.  The inner layer is made of regular bird feathers.  This is economical to produce and works well for consumers.  You don’t need a pillow that is all down and the larger feathers help to hold the pillow up nicely.

When purchasing a pillow get a high thread count.  We have all seen feathers coming out of pillows.  And, since the fabric area isn’t that big, get a pillow with at least a 300 thread count.  The high thread count will reduce feather leakage.
