How to Buy a Good Down Comforter

It’s awesome to buy an Eider Duck comforter or an 800 fill power goose comforter.  However, the price tag doesn’t make sense for some people.

Most of us will buy a comforter that has a fill power of 550-650.  The down may be duck or goose.  The thread count will usually be around 200.  This type of comforter will cost around $200.00 for a queen size.  In most cases, this type of comforter will do the job well enough.

The best way to buy a good comforter is to check for three things: loft, baffle box design, and thread count.  Make sure you get at least the minimum loft of 550, 200 thread count, and baffle box design.
